I don't like to throw the word around lightly but I feel like a hoarder.
In the end, there wasn't that much confidential stuff that needed to be shredded but there were plenty of articles.
Other things in the boxes included:
A sampling of the articles:

In all honesty, my bedroom looks like it's been ransacked and I need to get a handle on the clutter. It's just so hard for me to get rid of stuff but I'm hoping that I can start with articles, like the ones above, that I can easily find online.
Any budding organizers that would like experience and/or spectacular before and after pictures to place on your business website, please contact me as soon as possible because the clutter is daunting.
That's one of the first declutterings I started doing, a few years ago. I got rid of books and magazines that I could get online - mostly reference books and cookbooks. It's hard to let go of books, but it really helped, because it was getting out of hand. I had a couple thousand books in the house!
ReplyDeletegingersnapper,
ReplyDeleteYou had to mention magazines, didn't you? I'm gradually getting rid of those.
I need to deal with a whole lot of paper/clippings before I can even get to the books...
That term "hoarding" is totally turning into what "OCD" means to most people. It IS a word that gets thrown around a lot. However, from watching Horders, I can safely say that you do not have any of the other crazy qualities that those crazy people have! You like your memories. Nothing wrong with that. :-)
ReplyDeleteFarty Girl,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the vote of confidence. ☺
