The Toughest Workout or Month-End Review, August

Wednesdays = Kettlebell; Saturdays = Climbing; Calendar = A Beautiful Mind
With the remnants of a hurricane headed our way, figured I'd better say goodbye to the outdoor pool. Brrrrr, chilly water. I got in about 30 minutes before everyone left at which point I got out of the pool because swimming solo is not allowed...Seems like the outdoor pool just opened. Ditto for August.

Also temporarily said goodbye to X's and, instead, just wrote down my exercise of choice. Not sure that I "fooled" myself much because writing down the actual exercise instead of using X's was still a chain that I tried not to break. I was much better about rest days though.

Tomorrow marks the start of National Yoga Month and I dream about doing yoga for 30 days. My initial thought was to do yoga in a classroom setting when a wise person, Katie, spoke up and said that I could divvy it up and do yoga in small sessions at home. I'm glad that Katie mentioned that because the scenario did not occur to me since I have a tendency to have an all or nothing mentality...

I feel like I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that two of my toughest workouts this month had absolutely nothing to do with a gym or studio. One day, I helped prepare for a festival and I lifted a lot of chairs and tables for a huge chunk of time. Now, that was a workout!

    2. Mary,

Cool. I really do like reviewing everything at the end the month to see what I got really involved with or, maybe, what I've been neglecting, avoiding or no longer interested in...
