Like Granite

Dreamed that I was sleeping in a room with four beds. I had one bed. A teenage male and woman occupied the others. I sensed someone was on the other side of the door and went to open it.

My father was on the other side. When I let him in, we exchanged a few words then he got into bed.

I had a massage by an extraordinary MT yesterday. She has quite the repertoire of techniques and I never feel like an hour is short with her because the experience is so solid.

She told me that my shoulders, which usually feel like granite, were much better. I really think it's yoga that has taken care of the shoulder tightness.

Post-massage, I was in a dazed state and ultra-relaxed which, I think, allowed me to sense my father at the door.

Odd topic for a Friday, hunh?

  1. Here's what dreammoods says about dreams about beds! I love dreammoods!!!

    "Bed

To see your bed in your dream, represents your intimate self and discovery of your sexuality. If you are sleeping in your own bed, then it denotes security and restoration of your mind. You may be looking for domestic bliss, for peace or for some form of escape. If you are waking up in a different and/or unknown bed, then it represents the consequences of the decisions you have made. The dream may also be a pun on the completion of a project and "putting it to bed." Consider the condition of the bed. If the bed is made, then it symbolizes security. If the bed is unmade, then it indicates that certain secrets will soon be exposed or revealed. Or that you are exhibiting some carelessness in your sexual behavior.

To dream that you are searching for a bed, suggests that you are having difficulties acknowledging your intimate self. You may be feeling inhibited in expressing your sexuality. Alternatively, it may mean that you are looking for domestic security and happiness. Or you just need more sleep."

Maybe you just need more sleep? Dream dictionaries are so funny!

  2. Farty Girl,

I looked at a different site and the dream analysis was kind of lame. I like Dream Moods better.

This therapist that I know once told me that people in your dream = you. I'm just wondering why I had four different personas.

Perhaps you're right and I need sleep -- enough for four people. ;)
